Call for new partners in CIRRUS: deadline August 23

EXTENDED DEADLINE: AUGUST 23 (instead of August 17)

The CIRRUS network is currently inviting design universities in the Nordic-Baltic countries that are interested and motivated to apply for membership. This includes universities in:

  • Denmark
  • Estonia
  • Finland
  • Iceland
  • Latvia
  • Lithuania
  • Norway
  • Sweden

Interested institutions should submit applications by August 23, 2023, to be considered for CIRRUS membership. All applications will be pre-reviewed by the CIRRUS board. Applications should be sent via email, with the subject line “CIRRUS membership application”, to sandra.mell@artun.ee. The application must include:

  1. A letter detailing the motivation behind the request for membership
  2. Two recommendation letters

The status of a Cirrus Network Member may be granted to an institution in the Nordic-Baltic region that has submitted a well-structured and motivated request prior to the annual network meeting and has been endorsed in writing by two current member organizations. The institution applying for membership should demonstrate a commitment to the core activities of the network. New members will be approved by a majority vote during the annual network meeting.

If the application is successful, the applicant becomes a member immediately following the vote. All new members are required to sign the current collaboration agreement and pay the annual network fee, currently set at 1000 EUR, by the deadline set by the network’s board.

All member institutions are required to be represented at the annual network meeting. A member institution may also choose to appoint another member to act as a proxy.
